We are seeking a Marketing Communications Lead to be responsible for creating and executing the School's marketing and communications plan. The primary strategic focus for the role will be on supporting the School's admissions aims. This will be a busy and varied, hands-on role working on-site as part of our small and friendly team. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a successful track record of planning and delivering integrated marketing campaigns, with a particular focus on web and digital channels. The ability to write compelling marketing copy for a variety of channels (e.g. web, email, social, PPC) is critical. As a new role, self-starter qualities are a must, alongside a can-do, positive attitude. Experience within the education sector is not a pre-requisite but would be desirable. The role is offered on a part-time basis and, for the successful applicant, some flexibility with regard to working schedule can be discussed. During term time we envisage a commitment of around 20-24 hours per week and this could be reduced during holiday periods.
For further information and an Application Pack, please contact bursar@fairfieldschool.org.uk. Applications must be received by Friday 1 December and should consist of a completed Application Form and covering letter.
Fairfield School is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from appropriately qualified persons regardless of gender, marital status, sexual orientation, race, ethnic origin, nationality, religion, disability or age. Candidates will be assessed against relevant criteria only (i.e. skills, qualifications, abilities, experience) in selection and recruitment. If you have a disability and require any assistance with the application process, please contact us at bursar@fairfieldschool.org.uk
Fairfield School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Any formal offer of employment will be subject to a number of pre-employment checks as part of the School's due diligence and in line with KCSIE 2023. These include ID and right to work in the UK, satisfactory references and a successful Enhanced DBS check. The School will carry out online searches on shortlisted applicants and all applicants will be required to provide details of their online profile, including social media account names/handles, as part of their application.
The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and subsequent amendments. The School is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare all convictions and cautions on a self-declaration form in advance of attending an interview, (including those which are "spent" unless they"protected" under the DBS filtering rules), in order to assess their suitability to work with children.
It is a condition of employment that the employee should not have been convicted of a criminal offence against children, nor have been dismissed from or resigned from a previous employer for misconduct of a similar nature.
Our Recruitment, Selection and Disclosure Policy can be found on this website under the About/School Information menu.
