Vacancies

We have vacancies for the following:

Nursery Nurse - part time supply role

Due to the popularity of our current nursery provision for 3-4 year old children, we have expanded to take 2-3 year old children. This section of our nursery is open all year except for the Christmas and new year period.

We have opportunities for qualified (minimum Level 3 relevant childcare qualification) nursery practitioners interested in part time hours on a supply basis.

You must have a genuine love of working with young children and will be committed to providing children with outstanding care and education. You will be expected to play a full part in the life of the school and must be skilled in the delivery of the EYFS curriculum. A willingness to work as part of a strong team and a commitment to the ethos of the school are essential.
Fairfield is a thriving, successful, co-educational independent school with 125+ pupils aged 2-11. There is one class per year group.

This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff to share this commitment. The successful applicant must be willing to undergo enhanced DBS checks.

Disclosure and Barring Service Disclosure

An offer of employment is conditional upon the School receiving an Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) which the School considers to be satisfactory. If you are successful in your application you will be required to complete a DBS Disclosure Application Form. Any information disclosed will be handled in accordance with the Code of Practice published by the DBS (a copy of which is available from the School on request).

The School is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore all convictions, cautions, reprimands and final warnings (including those which would normally be considered "spent" under the Act) must be declared. If you have a criminal record this will not automatically debar you from employment. Instead, each case will be assessed fairly by reference to the School's objective assessment procedure (a copy of which is available the School on request).

References

You will be required to supply the names and contact details of two people whom we may contact for references. One of these must be your current or most recent employer. If your current/most recent employment does/did not involve work with children, then your second referee should be your employer with whom you most recently worked with children. Neither referee should be a relative or someone known to you solely as a friend. The School intends to take up references on all shortlisted candidates before interview. The School reserves the right to take up references from any previous employer.

Equal Opportunities

It is the School's policy to employ the best qualified personnel and to provide equal opportunity for the advancement of employees including promotion and training and not to discriminate against any person because of their race, colour, national or ethnic origin, sex, sexual orientation, marital or civil partnership status, religion or religious belief, disability or age.

All new posts within the School are subject to a probationary period.
