Nursery Practitioner to work in our 2-3 year old children’s room

Full time post from June or July 2021

We also have opportunities for qualified (minimum Level 3 relevant childcare qualification) nursery practitioners interested in part-time hours: 8.00am - 1.30pm or 12.00pm - 5.30pm, all year round.

An exciting new opportunity for a highly motivated, enthusiastic, well-qualified (minimum Level 3 relevant childcare qualification) and committed individual who will join an existing team of experienced and inspirational staff.

This section of our nursery is open approximately 50 weeks per year.

The successful candidate will have a genuine love of working with young children, will be committed to providing children with outstanding care and education, will be expected to play a full part in the life of the school and must be skilled in the planning, structure and delivery of the EYFS curriculum. A willingness to work as part of a strong team and a commitment to the ethos of the school are essential.

Fairfield is a thriving, successful, co-educational independent school with approximately 130 pupils aged 2-11. There is one class per year group.

Nursery Assistant

We are seeking a qualified Nursery practitioner to support our permanent staff team and to cover holidays and absence through illness of permanent staff members. Flexible shifts are available. The job involves providing care and play for children within a safe, stimulating and vibrant environment. We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic, professional and hardworking individual to join our small team. The School is committed to promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and an Enhanced DBS check is required for this role.

Our Lambs Nursery caters for children aged between 2 and 4 and the children enjoy access to all the facilities on the school site. Lambs Nursery is fully integrated into our school and many children continue their education in our primary school.

Hours:        Monday – Friday 3 hours either before 8am or after 4pm term time only.

Duties include:

Vacuuming/brushing classrooms and common areas, emptying bins, cleaning toilets and washrooms, washing up crockery/cutlery; wiping down tables/desks, dusting classrooms and common areas, washing floors, polishing hall floor, treating carpet stains, preparing recycling materials for collection and generally tidying of the school.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Employment is conditional upon satisfactory references and an Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
