Although our children leave us aged 11 years old, many of our former pupils remember the school with great affection and also place a high value on the firm academic and social foundations they established whilst at Fairfield.
Many of our former pupils go on to enjoy academic success, sporting excellence and achievements in music and the arts. We believe that in getting the foundations right, our pupils go on to enjoy not only their time at secondary school but also beyond – into higher education and on to successful and fulfilling careers. The values they learn at Fairfield go on to inform their decisions in later life and indeed many former pupils have entrusted their own children’s education to the excellent environment at Fairfield where they will be encouraged to achieve their very best. In some families we are welcoming the grandchildren of some our former pupils to the school!
We have excellent relationships with all the senior schools in the local area. Whether you choose the independent sector or the maintained sector, you can be sure that your child will be thoroughly prepared for senior school and approach the change with maturity and confidence.
Many of our alumni continue to take an interest in the school and its achievements. Attendance at major school events such as Founders’ Day and Prizegiving are enriched by the presence of many Old Girls and Old Boys and our alumni are keen to help the school by fundraising or making a contribution to a fundraising effort. We welcome this involvement and see it as an excellent way to ensure that Fairfield continues to thrive.
We would be delighted to hear from you if you are interested in joining our list of alumni and receiving news and information about the school. Please contact us through the contact portal on this website.
Year 6 Leavers' Destinations
Our Year 6 children move on to a range of independent and maintained sector senior schools, which include:
“Our son joined Fairfield in Year 2. His teacher discovered he was worried about making mistakes so she taught him that there is a positive side to getting things wrong, that's how we learn and figure things out. It was a huge step forward for our child. From that point to Year 6 he has developed from a shy child into a confident young man.
This school really does take notice of the quiet children.”
